Who we are

The Mane Lion was born in 1979 in the heart of Philadelphia's fabled Main Line, from which we borrow our name. Back then, residents entertained more formally, so a line of charming, hand-painted chip-and-dip serving pieces seemed like just the thing for a fun, new, fashionable way to present appetizers and hors d'oeuvres.

Today, The Mane Lion offers a full range of Italian-crafted, hand-painted ceramic chip-and-dips, dinnerware and home accessories. Our designs continue to find inspiration in the countryside surrounding the Main Line, which our office, showroom and warehouse call home.

We believe that cheerful, elegant, finely crafted serving pieces and dinnerware enhance the act of entertaining. We think of them as "accessories for an entertaining life."

Nearly all of our sixty chip-and-dips and ten Dinnerware Collections were personally designed by us, and every item is crafted exclusively for The Mane Lion in Italy. You'll find our line in fine stores throughout the United States.
